On August 23, the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China hosted a National Day Gala in Shenzhen to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Singapore’s independence and the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore. The event drew more than 200 distinguished guests.

During the evening, Singapore’s Ambassador to China, Peter Tan, delivered a keynote address and gave his own rendition of the song Home. Guests enjoyed traditional Peranakan dance and authentic cuisine, and the celebration closed on a festive note, with shared joy highlighting the enduring friendship between China and Singapore.
